At the First District meeting on Saturday September 9, Eric Herr resigned his position as Chairman because of his planned move to another state to accept a new job! Many thanks to Eric for a job well done!
Bob Watson of Prince William County, who has served as a member of the State Central Committee, was elected Chairman to replace Eric. Russ Wright, chairman of Hanover County Republican Committee and First Vice Chairman, was elected to fillís Bob Watsonís place on State Central Committee.

About Our New Chairman ...
Bob Watson was elected 1st District Chairman on September 9, 2017. He has served on the State Central Committee since 2015, and is a member of the Prince William County Republican Committee where he has served as a Precinct Captain.
Last year, Bob was elected to represent the 1st District as an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Bob retired from the Army as a colonel after 25 years of service as an intelligence officer. He is a veteran of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He served in a variety of staff and command positions in the U.S., Germany, and Japan. Bob is now a national security consultant for a Fortune 500 company in McLean, VA.
He has been married for 24 years; he and his wife have one son, who is a junior in college.
